Dear Friends of Montalvo Little League

On behalf of the board of directors at Montalvo Little League, we would like to thank you for your previous support of our league. The financial contributions of local businesses like yours have been vital to us in previous years and will be instrumental in our future growth.

The 2010 season represents a notable milestone in our history; it’s our 50th anniversary! Preparations for Opening Day on March 6th are well underway. Two special guests will be Pat McLean, one of our founders, and Jim Gerstenslager, the director of the Western Region for Little League Baseball. We will also recognize our 2009 Junior Division All-Stars. These young men decisively won the Southern California Championship and then advanced to the final four of the Western Regional Tournament. They were ultimately eliminated in the semi-finals by Arizona, the eventual World Series Champion.

Montalvo Little League is unique among Little Leagues in that we own a large portion of the property we play on. In addition to the expenses of conducting a Little League, we are also responsible for the costs incurred to run our facility including: all the utilities, maintaining the fields and buildings, lawn care, snack bar equipment and repairs, and field equipment and repairs. We are currently in the design phase of a longtime dream, two indoor batting cages, and are hopeful to get the snack bar re-roofed and tented before Opening Day.

In spite of these expenses, the board of directors is able to keep our fees affordable for more than 300 families thanks to our sponsors. The purpose of this letter is to ask for your generous support by considering one of our sponsorship levels. Please complete and return the attached form at your earliest convenience and feel confident that your dollars are benefitting the many young men and women who play here. Montalvo is a 501(c)(3) organization and donations are tax deductible.

Finally, we would like to invite you to attend our Opening Day ceremonies, March 6, 2010 at 9:00AM, and to visit us during the regular season for some great Little League baseball.
